Navigate the Minefield

How are you doing today? I really want to know.

Just the other day I told a friend that I feel like I’m walking through a minefield.

Maybe you can relate. Navigating conversations that used to be so simple can blow up unexpectedly. I think now more than ever we need to be dressed and ready for battle as warriors of love. What does that look like? It means as a “warrior princess we get dressed for the occasion,”(Royal Reflections-The Making of a Warrior Princess), in the armor of God and stay powered up with His love and leading through prayer.

Our focus verse this week is Ephesians 6:18Ephesians 6:18

WP-Bible plugin “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Paul adds this right after telling us to put on and take up the armor of God because he wants us to remember our power source behind each piece of the Armor. “Prayer is our power source connection.” (Royal Reflections-The Making of a Warrior Princess) If we don’t stay connected to Christ and the leading of the Holy Spirit (our guide and teacher on earth) we are leaving ourselves vulnerable as we navigate the minefields of life.

Our challenge this week is to live as love warriors daily dressed for the occasion and fully connected and powered up in Christ with a watchman mindset. Living with a watchman mindset is a prayerful mindset that Paul talks about in Ephesians 6:18Ephesians 6:18

WP-Bible plugin. We are to be alert and to pray for all the Lord’s people guided by the Holy Spirit in all occasions. Who just popped into your mind that you should pray for? Pause and pray. If you don’t know what to pray for ask the Holy Spirit to meet that person where they are and to show you how to be a watchman and warrior of love for that person. How long did that take?

If you’re like me it probably took less time to lift up the person to the Lord than worry in your mind about what is going on in their life. Even better our prayers are doing something that can change their circumstances, unlike our worry. A watchman mindset helps us remember to pray first in all occasions.
