Reflection Highlight and links

We all long for trustworthy and authentic relationships so why are these relationships so illusive?

My one word answer is, humanity.

Jesus came to break the cycle. The problem is we don’t easily forget the pain of broken trust, rejection, and the loneliness and fear they leave in their path.

Maybe that is why it is hard for us to trust Jesus.

Do you believe Jesus is trustworthy?

Remember actions speak louder than words.

Years ago I would have told you that I fully trusted my husband.   But my actions on the mountain told a different story.   To the point that a total stranger said, “sometimes the unexpected leads you to seriously consider divorce.”

Thanks for joining me for Fearless Friday where we look at the fear factors that keep us from living fearless in our relationship with Christ.

We have been reflecting on having a trust mindset this week in our relationship with the Lord.   Wisdom Wellspring posed the question to us, asking, if we trusted Jesus to have full ownership of our heart and life?

If our answer is yes, today we need to reflect on if our actions match our words.

Do our actions show that we fully trust Jesus with our heart and life?

If we have put our faith in Jesus and believe that our eternity in heaven is secure because of Christ’s unimaginable sacrifice of his reputation, personal dignity, and rejection by family and friends, just to name a few, ALL for the purpose of becoming the perfect atoning sacrifice for the sins of all humanity, present and yet to be born.

Then, why do we struggle to fearlessly trust Christ with our day to day?

We are less than a week past Easter and Passover the time we are reminded that Jesus is trustworthy and faithful to fulfill his promises.

Am I the only one who believes Jesus is trustworthy enough to put my faith in but regularly talk and act in like I don’t really trust him with everything?

My experience on the mountain years ago revealed far more than my lack of trust of my husband with our children it also revealed my lack of trust in my Lord and Savior.

We face many fear factors and distractor factors in life that will creep in if we will entertain limiting beliefs about who Jesus is and we are in Him.

Our underlying fears, insecurities, and limiting beliefs have a way of sabotaging our thoughts and behavior.

How do we overcome?

I have learned that the key to overcoming is a strong, devoted, and abiding relationship with Jesus.

Has the Lord brought to mind any beliefs that need to be upgraded to his divine truth?

Part of living fearless trust in Christ is doing what we know we should do.

Welcome again to Fearless Friday! If this is your first time joining me for Fearless Friday I’m glad you are here. Tell me, where you are tuning in from?

Fearless Friday is the day that we look at our reflection verse through the perspective of living with a fearless in Christ.

, telling us how to do it through our position and power in Christ.

We are moving from being aware to managing our minds.

The first step is deepening our relationship with Christ so we know the truth that produces transformation of our minds and gives us a firm foundation to stand on in Christ.

What are the distractor factors and fear factors that keep us from trusting fearlessly in your relationship with Christ?

Often it is tied to our beliefs that affect the way we see our world.

Our reflection verse this week, John 14:12John 14:12

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
So how are we doing?

Usually there are distractor or fear factors related to us getting off track from where we know we should be.

We may have a disconnect between what we believe in our head about the trustworthiness of Christ, our faith, and fearlessly trusting Christ in our day-to-day life.

When this happens it usually reveals our head knowledge has not yet taken root in our heart and is leading us away from trusting Jesus fearlessly in devoted relationship.

What are the distractions and fear factors that keep us from trusting fearlessly in Christ?

Fear of losing control –Fear of disappointment–Lack of Trust— worry- Worldly Perspective —- Unbelief — Believe we will disappoint Jesus– — Lies we believe— Fear of change— fear of man—

Did I miss anything?   Drop your thoughts in the comments or message me.

The Lord wants to take us deeper in our relationship with him and increase our satisfaction in our life.

All of the fears and distractions we face are a form of limiting beliefs about God and our position in Christ.

How do we move beyond any limiting beliefs we have?

We must arm ourselves with the truth of God’s word:

We can only do this if we know the truth of God’s promises in the Word of God.   John 8:31-32John 8:31-32

tells us that Jesus said…”IF you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

It’s not easy to stay focused and grounded in God’s truth. It requires us to be protected and God knows that— so he provided us with the Armor of God.

When we combined the protection of the Armor of God with daily devotion to our relationship with the Lord it helps us stand strong when the distractions of life come.

We also experience renewed power in the Lord when WE live daily armored up against all that makes us vulnerable to distractor and fear factors….. every distraction or fear starts with a thought stirred by our fleshy desires.

IF you need to learn more about protecting yourself with the Armor of God, I invite you to check out my Bible “Royal Reflections 2.0- The Making of a Warrior Princess”.

Thank you for joining me on this journey of fearless living for Christ together.

Have a wonderful weekend, be encouraged and keep reflecting Jesus as you live fearless in Christ.
